Panama Vibes is one of the pioneering touristic websites about Panama. and there you can read all information about Panama that is relevant to YOU as a (potential) tourist. It is written by a Panamanian but with the realistic perspective of a tourist.

While some (most?) touristic websites about Panama give you only embellished details, Panama Vibes offers you the good information with advise on items that you should keep your eye on. Yes, many like to put their heads in a hole like an ostrich and ignore problems but at Panama Vibes they know that responsible tourism is one where the tourist is well informed and thus most likely to have an uneventful stay. Don't take me wrong, it is not a negative point just realistic.

Panama Vibes has a main site full of information (added periodically) and has recently added a new Content Management System (CMS) for publishing articles about Panama like a blog with each complementing each other.

You need to find accommodation in Panama? in their Articles CMS there is a page dedicated to finding hotels and other sorts of lodging in the whole of Panama.

Are you a business in Panama dedicated to receptive tourism and want to have your business featured in Panama Vibes? they also have a program called "Featured In" or "Destacado En" in Spanish.

Soon they will also offer help in planning your holiday in Panama. The owner of Panama Vibes not only knows most of the country but also has taken some people on personalized tours round the country.

Welcome to my blog

I was born in Panama and have travelled a lot in both Panama and around the world, in fact I have been an expat for 25 years. This blog is brought to you with the hope that it helps you in deciding what to visit and how to avoid tourist traps.

This is no casual blog, I was in fact a pioneer of internet in Panama having brought -way to many years ago- the first touristic blog dedicated exclusively to Panamanian history, geography and tourism. It was online even years before internet was available in Panama and before the local tourist authority (now ATP, formerly IPAT) had their website.

Some years ago I decided to close my website after 13 years of operation, it was not an easy decision but it seemed to be the best to do. I am now offering my services to potential tourists to put their schedules together and possibly even arrange the visits. I will have to charge a reasonable fee however, I learned that 13 years of operation as a free service provider doesn't give the best results but I have in depth knowledge of the local people, customs and done quite some travelling in the country. You get first hand information.
